July 18th

Today, a bunch of us rode on our bikes all the way to the Autobahn (A40). Today was the the "Ruhr 2010" festival...which today is probably the only time it will ever happen (at least for a long time). Today, there were no cars allowed on the Autobahn, only walkers and bikers. It was actually pretty cool. So, I got to cycle on the Autobahn! Sweeeet!!!

Later, Alina, Peter, and I went to Andrea and Serkan's house for dinner. It was all very good, and they are both very nice.

  1. "RUHR.2010" is the name of Europe's cultural capital. It is not one single city, but the whole region where we live.
Yesterday it was "Still-Leben A40". More about it here: http://www.essen-fuer-das-ruhrgebiet.ruhr2010.de/no_cache/en/press-media/press-information/detailseite/article/still-life-a40b1-one-of-germanys-busiest-motorways-comes-to-a-standstill.html?tx_ttnews[backPid]=631
