Today, I went to the school here in Hattingen again. It was definitely a lot better than yesterday. The classes were a little more interesting. We had five classes today:
Gym- a lot of fun, we played volleyball....which I love (but I'm not really that great at it...except for serving) :)
Chemistry- boring...the teacher did some experiment. I had no idea what was going on.
English- the best class of the entire day. I understood every single word, except for the VERY rare moments when they spoke German, of course. I helped the teacher a little bit with some word choices, when he wasn't sure what word would be better in certain contexts. We read and discussed an English newspaper article about how the British Prime Minister apologized for the Bloody Sunday Massacre.
Biology- a little boring....we learned something about anarexia and how not to get pregnant....
German- don't even ask....I have no idea....but, we had to group into 3 people (I worked with Leah and her friend) and ask each other some questions about our future careers. Our group did the entire conversation in English....of course....
Everything went very well, though. After school....I went over to Leah's and had lunch....excellent food :)
Later, after supper, Alina gave me an oral test on some of my vocab words. I had some help with some of the neighbors.....Alina is crazy....but, that's what makes her able to put up with me.
