July 26th

Today, Peter and I went to Bochum to the "Jahrhunderthalle", which is an old factory converted into a concert venue. We didn't get to go inside, as it was closed, but, it was still pretty cool. We then walked around a little bit to the park and around the factory.

After that, Peter took me to a BMW store, because, well, BMWs are the best cars in the world...and I'm not just saying that because they're my initials...haha!

July 25th

Today was an American day for us. This morning, I cooked absolutely delicious pancakes for Alina and Peter (and myself, of course).

After breakfast, all threeof us went for a long hike around the country-side. It was fun, though, and really beautiful.

Later, the Joklitschkes (the family next door) came over for an American dinner. We had burgers, potato salad, and for dessert, chocolate chip muffins (which I baked of course) That was really fun. They gave me a gift. It's a really fun geography quiz game...it's all in German. More practice! haha. Peter and I won with 0 points each...because everybody else was in the negatives...haha.

July 24th

Today, Alina, Peter, Leah, and I all went to Holland to a city called Enschede. It was really cool and very beautiful. The marketplace was pretty cool, and the regular mall was too. Of course, I couldn't understand anything, because Dutch is a really weird language and almost nothing like German...to me, anyway. But, still, today was a lot of fun.

July 23rd

Today, Peter and I went to Oberhausen to the "Gasometer", which is an old gas-storage building. It's really cool and really, really high. But, the view was amazing! Inside was a whole exhibit based around astronomy. And, from the ceiling, there hung the world's largest model of the moon. It was enormous!

After that, we walked around the shopping center in Oberhausen.

Later, all three of us went next door to the Baasner/Kuhnhenn's because Lynne had a birthday party. That was really fun and I met a few new people.

July 22nd

Today, once again, nothing much really happened. Alina had to go to work and Peter had to go to Münster again. So, I woke up late and then hung around with Leah. We made some drawings and I worked a little bit on Kyle's album...it's gonna be awesome! Yeah, that's pretty much it.

July 21st

Today, nothing really special happened. Alina went to work and Peter had to go to Münster for something with his new job. So, I got to sleep in late. I spent the rest of the day with Leah, we watched half of "Air Force One" (only half because we put the disc on the wrong side...so it was the second-half of the movie) and all of "The Rock". Both are really good films.

July 20th

Today, Peter and I went to the "Henrichshütte", which is an old steel mill that closed in the 1980s. We actually started out by going through the exhibit "Heroes". That was very interesting. After the exhibit, we went around and explored the rest of the mill. That was really cool...and I actually understood a lot because most of the text was in English :)

After the steel mill, we went to the castle Blankenstein. That was really cool. We went to the top of the tower, that was really cool. The landscape is absolutely amazing!
